Using an electronic response system in the classroom: part I. R.G. JORDAN (1), J.E. HAKY (2) and C. CONWAY (2). The Class Performance System (CPS) produced by eInstruction is an interactive system that enables instructors to pose questions to a class and get individual responses from students, via hand-held keypads, that are graded automatically and logged into a class grade-book. In this talk we will outline the many advantages to both the student and the instructor compared with more traditional approaches of questioning-answering in class.
